Emerging Indian talents from domestic leagues set to be targeted by IPL scouts. Top local India players that franchise would target in IPL 2026 Auction.

It’s the off-season for the Indian cricket team, but several state associations are hosting their T20 leagues. It’s the best window for the franchise events and a time where emerging talent will make heads turn.
These competitions are essential for the local players to catch the eyes of the scouts with crucial performances. The emerging talents will also aim to catch the eye of IPL scouts and the state selectors.
Let’s take a look at a few emerging talents in the local Indian leagues that the IPL scouts may target:
Tushar Raheja (TNPL wicket-keeper)
The dashing opening batter, Tushar Raheja, has been the top run-getter across the last two seasons of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Moreover, he can also keep wickets. In the past, he was a free-flowing batter in the power play against the pacers. At present, he has developed his game against the quality spinners, including Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Chakravarthy.
During the TNPL 2025 season, the 24-year-old smashed 488 runs in nine innings at an average of 61. His strike rate of 185.55 was incredible for five half-centuries at the best score of 80. In 2024, the Southpaw clubbed 324 runs at a strike rate of 150 in nine innings.
He might not be far away from breaking into the senior league. Meanwhile, his state IPL franchise is looking for a young wicket-keeper batter after the potential retirement of MS Dhoni in the future. Raheja could be an option for them.
Sairaj Bipin Patil (T20 Mumbai League)
The India ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, gave Sairaj Patil the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award for the T20 Mumbai League 2025. Patil is a fine power-hitter who can bat in the lower order, besides bowling a few overs of seam. His all-around efforts contributed immensely to his side, Eagle Thane Striker, to push their campaign to the semifinal.
Pati topped the chart with the most number of sixes (16) during the 2025 edition in six innings. Along with that, he picked up seven wickets in 15.3 overs of the event. It’s rare to find all-rounders of India who can strike big and bowl fast. That makes it a good chance for the youngster to catch the eyes of the IPL side, especially the Mumbai Indians or the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Patil also has experience of playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) in Mumbai.
