IPL 2025: KL Rahul’s 93 vs RCB ranks among top three impactful innings — what are the other standout batting performances?

Big stages call for bigger performances and the players in IPL 2025 are standing true to the statement. Along with the experienced players, each year we see new talent coming up and creating an impact with their stellar show. While 2022 was Rahul Tewatia’s incarnation, 2023 was all about Rinku Singh’s five 6’s. This year the narrative is the same but the protagonists are different, be it Priyansh Arya or Ashutosh Sharma. Moreover, we are only three weeks in and we have already witnessed some jaw dropping innings! Here are Top three impactful innings of the first three weeks:
Priyansh Arya’s 103 vs CSK
This 24 year old prodigy Priyansh Arya from Delhi has stormed the internet with his classic yet aggressive knock of 103 against the five time champions- CSK. He thrashed the very first ball that he faced, and from then on carried the same momentum. We had already seen a glimpse of his talent in his debut match, against LSG. But on the night when PBKS played against CSK, Arya showed full authority as he was striking the ball really well.
Playing the first season of IPL brings a lot of pressure but he didn’t succumb to it, and in fact, passed with flying colours. He operated at an insane strike rate of 245.24 and now in fact, is amongst the list of elites, scoring one of the fastest hundreds in the history of IPL.

KL Rahul’s 93 vs RCB
Kl Rahul faced a lot of criticism for his poor performance in IPL 2024. Later, he was even dropped from the national side for a brief period of time. But, that is the thing with champion players, they know the art of bouncing back and KL Rahul is no different. He announced his comeback in a grand style by scoring 93 against RCB at their home venue.
When he walked in to bat, his team was kneeling at 10/2 and within the power play they lost another wicket. Here’s when Rahul’s experience came handy as he held his composure and won the game for his team. His knock of 93(53) consisted of seven 4s and six 6s. Initially he took his time and was more concerned with his placing and timing. But later, when he saw the momentum shifting towards his side, he demolished the opposition’s bowling line up. He left no mercy and in fact smashed Josh Hazelwood, the crafty bowler from Australia, with 22 runs in an over!
Later, the way he celebrated his match winning knock was a display of redemption. Oh, how he conquered the fortress.

Ashutosh Sharma’s 66 vs LSG
Ashutosh Sharma made a tremendous impact with the bat, guiding his team home with an explosive knock of 66 off 31 balls against LSG. He came in to bat in the 7th over when Delhi were struggling at 65/5 while chasing a daunting target of 210. At that point, a Delhi win seemed nearly impossible.
Ashutosh anchored the innings, allowing Vipraj Nigam and Tristan Stubbs to play around him while he held one end steady.
By the end of the 15th over, Ashutosh was on 20 off 20 balls, with Delhi still needing 12.4 runs per over. He then took calculated risks, scoring 17 runs in the 18th over to bring the required run rate down to 11 per over. In the 19th over, he smashed a few boundaries off Prince, reducing the equation to just 6 runs needed in the final over — though wickets continued to fall at the other end.
With Delhi needing 6 runs and LSG just one wicket, Mohit Sharma was on strike for the final over. He managed to rotate the strike and get Ashutosh back on strike. Without waiting for another delivery, Ashutosh sealed the win in style by launching a six straight over the bowler’s head, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
