IPL 2025, PBKS vs RCB Highlights: Krunal Pandya-Suyash Sharma’s combined 4/51 and RCB Batters power team to third place in points table.

Brief scores: PBKS: 157-6 (Prabhsimran Singh 33, Krunal Pandya 2/25, Suyansh Sharma 2/26) lost to RCB: 159-3 (Virat Kohli 73, Devdutt Padikkal 61, Arshdeep Singh 1/26) by 7 wickets.
Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB) shouldn’t be concerned whether they are chasing 160 or 200, if they have Virat Kohli in their line up. The legend stepped up, yet again, and chased down the target with seven balls to spare. He and Devdutt Padikkal scored fifties each and defeated PBKS on their home ground. Hence, taking the revenge of their previous clash!
Highlights from PBKS vs RCB game, IPL 2025
Krunal and Suyansh’s 4-51 keep things in control
It is a positive sign for RCB that their key spinners- Krunal Pandya and Suyansh Sharma have joined the party as both of them were spot on today. They looked a bit off colour in their home games, but not today, as they both clinched two wickets each.
Krunal provided the early breakthrough by dismissing both the openers in the powerplay. With his variations, Priyansh and Prabhsimran were puzzled and eventually they ended up hitting the strokes with the toe end of their bats.
Later, when Suyansh Sharma was handed the ball, he took two crucial wickets of Inglis and Stoinis, both in his third over. While his first wicket came off a flipper that skidded onto the stumps, the second one was a googly that perfectly exposed the gap between Marcus’ bat and pad. The perfect execution of these two deliveries helped him clutch the run rate.

Shreyas Iyer’s lack of runs hurting the team
Shreya Iyer, who looked in fine touch in the first two games, is now finding it hard to convert his starts to milestones. His scores in IPL 2025 so far are: 97*, 52*, 10, 9, 82, 0, 7 and 6. Thus, his graph is going on a downward trajectory.
Also, If we look at the bigger picture, PBKS won their last two games, that is, against RCB and KKR only because their bowling was very tight and disciplined. But one thing is that they cannot win against anyone solely relying on their bowlers. Hence, it’s time for the skipper to keep scoring runs and play the anchor’s role to provide stability to the middle order.

Paddikal-Kohli cut short the RCB work
RCB are having a 100% successful chase record so far and a huge credit for that goes to Virat Kohli’s consistency. He has been riding from the front and in today’s game as well, it was him, along with Devdutt Paddikal, who chased the target conveniently. Kohli was unbeaten on 73 and Paddikal was dismissed after scoring 61 off just 35 balls.
The positive thing about RCB’s batting line up is that whether it’s opening pair, number 3 batsman or number 4 batsman, they are contributing. If the top order collapses, the middle order takes the initiative and if the top order performs, the middle order just carries the momentum. Overall the team looks in good touch.

Way forward
RCB took the revenge of their last match by beating PBKS at their home ground. Now with two points, they climb to the third spot. PBKS, on the other hand, are just below RCB, as they are now on the fourth spot. They need some consistency otherwise the team could be in a difficult spot as the tournament would proceed towards the knockout stage.

The form of Padikkal is such a big plus for this @RCBTweets line-up. Not being wise after the event but we were surprised he didn't play the last game
