A total of 369 players, including 253 Indian and 116 overseas cricketers, have entered the auction pool to compete for 77 available slots across teams. With strategies varying sharply based on budget strength and squad gaps, franchises collectively have ₹237.55 crore to spend, making today’s proceedings crucial in shaping team combinations for the upcoming IPL cycle.

Franchises enter the auction with varied purse capacities, shaping their strategies for squad finalisation. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lead the pack with the largest remaining purse of ₹64.30 crore and 13 slots to fill (including 7 Indian and 6 overseas), followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with ₹43.40 crore and 9 slots (5 Indian, 4 overseas). Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have ₹25.50 crore for 10 slots, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ₹22.95 crore for 6, and Delhi Capitals (DC) ₹21.80 crore for 8. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) sit around ₹16.40 crore and ₹16.05 crore respectively, while Gujarat Titans (GT) (₹12.90 crore) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) (₹11.50 crore) have smaller budgets.
