Titans won the match by 5 wickets due to end overs assault by Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia
After being put in to bat by Gujarat, Sunrisers lost two wickets early in the innings due to the threatening bowling of pacer Mohammed Shami, however, opener Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram rescued their side by adding a partnership of 96 runs for the third wicket. Also, youngster Shashank Singh provided late sparks to boost their side to a huge total of 195-6 in 20 overs.
While chasing a huge target of 196 runs, Titans started well with 68 runs in just seven overs. However, pacer Umran Malik bagged two wickets to halt the progress of the Titans. Wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha played a phenomenal knock of 68 runs from 38 balls, but Umran sent him to the pavilion with a thunderbolt yorker. The fifer taken by Umran reduced Titan to a poor state, however, Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia's end overs hitting snatched the win from Sunrisers.

Umran Malik's fifer flatten Gujarat Titans' batting line-up
Young fast bowler Umran Malik produced a jaw-dropping spell on Wednesday against Titans to get his maiden IPL fifer.
While chasing 196 runs, Titans were well placed at 68 runs in just seven overs without losing any wicket. Opponent captain Williamson brought Umran on the attack as their fourth pacer. The 22-year-old pacer delivered straightway by shattering the stumps of opener Shubman Gill. He dismissed Titans skipper Hardik Pandya by bowling a threatening short ball in his next over.
When wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha was playing a phenomenal knock to help his side to chase the huge target of 196 runs, Umran hurled a 153 kmph yorker to knock down the batter’s stumps. Saha made 68 runs off 38 deliveries in his fabulous innings.
Umran dismissed two more batters in the last over of his quota to complete his five-wicket haul. He gave only 25 runs while picking five wickets.

Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia snatch victory from the jaws of defeat
After pacer Umran Malik reduced Titans to 140 by taking a fifer, Titans required another 56 runs in final fours overs. The last recognised batting pair of Titans - Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan - added a vital partnership of 59* to help their side to reach the target. Rashid smoked a huge six off pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, whereas, his partner Tewatia hammered a boundary and a six off pacer Thangarasu Natarajan. Despite their attacking strokes, the Titans needed a staggering 22 runs to win the match in the final over.

This nail-biting finish led to a huge celebration in the Titans camp, whereas the Sunrisers camp looked shellshocked by this unexpected defeat.
