Virat Kohli gets out to Dwayne Bravo for the first time in 23 IPL games since 2009.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is back with a bang in its second phase in the 2021 season. Here’s a look that all the records that were set/tumbled in the 34th and 35th games of the marquee tournament:
35th IPL Match : RCB vs CSK at Sharjah (Match Link)
36 – CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo reached a tally of 36 wickets in the 20th over in IPL games which makes him the highest wicket-taker in 20th over in IPL. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a distant second with 24 wickets in the 20th over.
1 – RCB skipper Virat Kohli got out on the delivery of Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo in this match on 53. This is the first time Kohli has been dismissed by Bravo in 23 IPL games since 2009.
157 - Virat Kohli scored 157 runs against Dwane Bravo in IPL which is a record for any IPL batter against a bowler in IPL before getting dismissed the first time.
7 - This is the seventh consecutive defeat for RCB in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in IPL.
41 - Virat Kohli smashed 53 runs off 41 balls in this game which is his 41st fifty in IPL.
3 - Having scored 41 fifties in IPL, Virat Kohli took the number three spot in the table of most half-centuries after David Warner (50) and Shikhar Dhawan (44).
9 - Kohli registered his ninth fifty against CSK which is a record for any batter against one particular team in IPL. He surpassed his own record against Delhi Capitals (8 fifties), Shikhar Dhawan against CSK and PBKS (8 fifties each) and Suresh Raina against KKR (8 fifties).
1 - Virat Kohli has amassed a total of 962 runs against CSK which is the highest number of runs for him against a particular opponent in T20 cricket. He overtook his previous record of scoring 933 runs against the Delhi Capitals.
46 - Kohli registered his 46th fifty-plus score in IPL in this game to match Shikhar Dhawan who also has scored 46 fifty-plus scores in IPL. Only David Warner (54) has scored more fifty-plus scores in IPL than these two.
1 - RCB skipper Virat Kohli and youngster Devdutt Padikkal added 111 runs for the first wicket in this match which is RCB’s highest partnership for all wickets against CSK in the IPL. The previous record was held by Chris Gayle and Kohli who stitched 109 runs for the second wicket against CSK at Chennai in 2012.
2 - This century stands between Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal is only the second-century partnership between them in IPL. They added a staggering 181 runs against RR in Mumbai in the first phase of this IPL season to chase a huge target of 178 runs without losing any wicket.
50 - The last time RCB openers registered a partnership of at least 50 runs against CSK was in 2013. In that game, Kohli and Chris Gayle added 67 runs in Bangalore.
1 - Singapore's Tim David has become the first-ever cricketer to play an IPL match before his national team got Test or ODI status.
15 - AB de Villiers has scored just 15 runs in his last three innings, which is now the lowest run-scoring three-innings streak in his IPL career.
6 - Having scored 70 runs off 50 balls in this game, Devdutt Padikkal scored his sixth half-century in IPL.
3 - This is only the third instance of Wanindu Hasaranga conceding 40 or more runs in a T20 innings. He has bowled in a total of 60 innings.

34th IPL Match: MI vs KKR at Abu Dhabi (Match Link)
2 - Rohit Sharma became only the second player in IPL to smash 100 fours against a particular opponent by completing 100 fours against KKR while scoring 33 runs in this game. The first player was Shikhar Dhawan, who struck a total of 103 fours against Punjab Kings in IPL.
1 - In the game against KKR, Rohit Sharma became the first player to score 1000 runs against a particular opponent in IPL as he reached this landmark against KKR while playing for Mumbai Indians (899 runs) and Deccan Chargers (116 runs), the total tally is 1015 runs now.
16 - By scoring 55 runs off 42 balls in this game, MI wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock registered his 16th IPL half-century.
2 - In his last 17 innings, Rahul Tripathi recorded only his second half-century in IPL. He has scored a total of seven half-centuries in IPL.
150 - The last time an opponent chasing a target of 150+ won easily vs Mumbai Indians was when Deccan Chargers (155/0 in 12 overs) won by 10 wickets chasing MI's 154/7 in 2008.
1 - This is the first time Kiwi speedster Trent Boult conceded two sixes in the first over of his IPL career. He has taken 10 wickets in the first over of an innings in IPL and conceded only five sixes in those overs.
1 - Having scored 53 runs off just 30 balls in this game, youngster Venkatesh Iyer scored his first fifty in IPL.
