Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube smashed half-centuries and helped India recover from being five wickets down for 79 runs to 181/9 in 20 overs. Pandya smashed his way past fifty in 27 balls and finally fell on 53 off 30 to Jamie Overton. Pandya and Shivam Dube powered an extraordinary fightback from India going into the death overs. Earlier, England pacer Saqib Mahmood struck thrice in his first over to rattle India's top-order. He dismissed Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, and Suryakumar Yadav in a triple-wicket maiden over.
Ravi Bishnoi and Harshit Rana shine as India gains unassailable lead
Chasing 182, England got a brilliant start as their openers comfortably dealt in boundaries. However, India bowlers quickly struck and scalped back-to-back wickets and bowled out the visitors for 166. Harshit Rana and Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets each leading India to a 15-run win. Rana, who came as the concussion sub for Shivam Dube and made his T20I debut, dismissed Liam Livingstone as he registered his first T20I wicket. Varun Chakravarthy also struck twice in the same over and provided India with two big wickets.
