India clinched the ODI series against England by winning the third match at Old Trafford in Manchester by five wickets.


Let's take a look at some records broken in England vs India 2022 ODI series.

3 - India won only their third ODI series in England. Before this India won an ODI series in England in 1990 and 2014 under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin and MS Dhoni, respectively.


5 – Hardik Pandya became only the fifth India player to register a fifty-plus score and four-wicket haul in the same ODI match after Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly (twice) and Yuvraj Singh (twice).


1 - Hardik Pandya became the first India player to smack a half-century and take a four-wicket haul in the same match away from home in ODIs, at Old Trafford in Manchester against England.


2 - Hardik Pandya became only the second Asian player to register a double of half-century and four-wicket haul in a match in all three formats of the game after Mohammad Hafeez.

1 - Rishabh Pant’s 125 at Manchester against England is the highest individual score by an India wicketkeeper batter outside Asia in ODIs.

1 - Rishabh Pant now has a record of best scores by an India wicketkeeper batter in all three formats away from home. He scored 159 in Sydney in a Test against Australia in 2019, 65* against West Indies in a T20I in Guyana in 2019, before striking an unbeaten knock of 125 in the last ODI match of this series.

2 - Rishabh Pant became only the second wicketkeeper batter to score centuries against England in their den in ODI and Test formats after Adam Gilchrist.


1 - Rishabh Pant became the top run-scorer in both Test and ODI formats this year among India players; 532 in Test cricket and 311 in ODI cricket.

1 - England pacer Reece Topley recorded the best bowling figures (24/6) for any England player in ODI cricket. The previous record-holder was former England all-rounder Paul Collingwood who registered bowling figures of 31/6 against Bangladesh in 2005.

1 - Reece Topley also recorded the best ODI bowling figures at Lord’s (24/6). The previous record-holder was Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi, who bagged six wickets conceding just 35 runs against Bangladesh in ICC ODI World Cup 2019.

2 - Reece Topley became only the second England player to record a five-wicket haul in ODI cricket at Lord's. Former England speedster Darren Gough was the first to take a fifer in 1997 against Australia at the same venue.

3 – With India’s win in the ODI series, Rohit Sharma became the third India captain to win a bilateral ODI series in England after MS Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin.


1 - India defeated England by 10 wickets by chasing 111 in just 18.4 overs after bowling out the latter in just 25.2 overs in the first ODI of the series. So, the match was completed in just 44 overs; this is the fewest overs India have taken to win an ODI that was scheduled to last 100 overs in ODI history.

1 - Jasprit Bumrah now has the best figures by an India bowler in ODIs outside the subcontinent (19/6) at The Oval in the first ODI of the series. The previous record was 23/6 by former India pacer Ashish Nehra in the ICC ODI World Cup 2003 against England.
